The Assistant Director of Pharmacy manages the operations of Pharmacy Services in a cost-effective manner, including planning for new services, directing day-to-day operations, delegating responsibility and authority for providing services, continuously improving services to meet customer needs, assuring adequate resources are available, and integrating services with other professional services within and outside the medical center to assure continuity of care.

The Pharmacy provides services to a broad patient population base that includes Adult and Pediatric Oncology, Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), Pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU), Adult Medical Surgical, Adult Critical Care (ICU), Adult Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVCU) and Rehabilitation Services. The Assistant Director would help provide day to day oversight of Pharmacy Operations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm)
Minimum of five years (5) required. Eight to ten years preferred. Prior experience as a director of pharmacy, an assistant director of pharmacy, clinical manager or lead role is required. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of pharmacy operations. Software skills using MS office, proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel, some knowledge of MS Access are required. Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic.
Current Pharmacist license in the State of Nevada
