Title: Polymer Physicist/ Applied Mathematician
Location: Bedford, MA 01730
Pay Rate: $35/hr-$40/hr - depends on experience
Duration: 12 month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time.
Hours: day shift - 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday
Position is a hybrid role, candidate must be local and be okay with going into the office a few times a week; there will be physical testing in the lab.

3 must haves:

• MS/PhD in Polymer Physics
• Must have background in polymer physics to model and simulate the compressions of various types of membrane filters during integrity testing.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

We are looking for a candidate who has a strong background in polymer physics to model/simulate the compressions of various types of membrane filters during our integrity test. We would like to improve and simplify our modeling of filter compression in our IntegriTest 5 (IT5).

Required Skills
-Advanced degree and strong background in polymer physics
-Deep knowledge and hands-on experience of the polymer creep, including modeling and experiment
-Good understanding of viscoelasticity and demonstrated experience on modeling the behavior of polymer materials

Desired Skills
-Experience with the simulation/modeling of pleat compression
