As a Software engineer Specialist you will be a member of a team involved in the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. Our team must ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services, and understand customer needs. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways. Primary Responsibilities: Completes full life cycle SDLC assignments of moderate complexityCompletes unit testing successfully; assists others with debugging and testing program logic Responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of application , making simple modifications or expansion of existing systems which are well defined and deal with routine business transactions / issuesManagement of the release automation and tools, including assisting with configuration of artifacts, scripts, and templatesPerform deployment of the releases into the Testing, UAT, and Production environmentsConfiguration management/code integration using Team Foundation Services (TFS) etc.Exposure to Unit Testing (Plan, Prepare & Execute)Technical Documentation experienceResponsible for full SDLC process and Break Fix processResponsible Testing Methodologies & Performance TestingWorks with team to solve complex problemsPlans, prioritizes, organizes and completes work to meet established objectives ENGLISH PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED AFTER APPLICATIONThis position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 6:00pm AST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends. Our office is located in the Montehiedra area in San Juan.
Required Qualifications:3+ years of experience in Software DevelopmentExperience in SQL Server, SSIS and SSRSExperience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET 4.0, Entity Framework, Model View Controller (MVC) Framework, Web services, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and AngularExperience with MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)English proficiencyPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or higher level of education Able to work independently with minimum support/mentoring Good knowledge of complete ITIL process Experience working with AGILE principlesCareers with Optum.
