Job Description

Summary:
Responsible for light skip tracing accounts within the scope of applicable laws and regulations in a manner that denotes professionalism and integrity. Ideal candidate will have had experience in pre charge-off Recovery Floor accounts,   use of system (IRIS / RDN) and basic skip tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Use of internet databases and phone tools in order to locate customers/collateral
  • Build successful relationships with contractors and clients in order to service accounts
  • Communicate verbally and/or systematically with CSRs and/or contractors to:
    • Provide updates regarding account status and service levels; recommend changes if needed
    • Obtain new leads on customers / collateral locations
    • Obtain any necessary documentation or guidance to pursue the collateral/customers
    • Ensure information/leads provided are being acknowledged and reacted to
  • Assist the recovery floor to ensure that Client goals are met
  • Conduct initial review of information provided by clients to ensure accuracy
  • Become fluent with different styles of skip tracing and use personal judgment dependent upon workload on how/when to initiate them:
    • Touch And Go (TAG)
  • Provide new addresses for customer and cosigner (TLO)
  • Providing focus areas for our recovery agents
  • Reassign / dual assign agent
    • Light Investigative Skip (LIS); includes TAG
      • Identify the best known address to locate client’s collateral or customer
      • Search relatives / associates / POE / property ownership
      • Asset Searches / additional assets
      • Contact agencies / build rapport
    • Medium Skip Review (MSR); includes TAG / LIS
      • Provide new addresses for customer and cosigner (TLO & CLEAR)
      • Initiate contact with client’s customers, references, relatives and associates
      • Generate leads from 3rd Party connections / likely associates etc
  • Schedule and assign orders to appropriate contractors to ensure expectations are met and information provided is understood
  • Use independent judgment and discretion to ensure compliance with all state and federal codes, regulations, and laws that pertain to the position
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Some college level education preferred
  • Knowledge and thorough understanding of internet search tools utilized to trace individuals or collateral
  • Full working knowledge of / experience with state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to the CFPB, FDCPA, GLBA, ECPA/TPA
  • Effective time/organizational management skills / ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Professionalism and business savvy
  • Excellent verbal/phone and written communication skills
  • Computer savvy / proficient with basic Windows software
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
