Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a renowned Boston-based investment company to identify an Accounting Manager/Controller.
Highlights of the Accounting Manager/Controller Opportunity:
The Company: Renowned Investment Firm specializing in buyouts, strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, organic growth, and licensing arrangements.
The Role: Reporting to the President/COO, the Accounting Manager/Controller will not only own the company's accounting, analysis, risk compliance and reporting functions but also can participate in market research, acquisitions and dispositions. This role will have 'hands-on' responsibility for all aspects of day-to-day accounting including consolidating the financials; preparing the monthly financial package; analyzing costs & budgets; & financial planning.

The Accounting Manager/Controller's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
Develop reports to analyze information and options.
Prepare general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommend changes.
Risk management including annual insurance renewals.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Strong understanding of GAAP
CPA and/or prior public accounting experience preferred but not required.
4+ years of hands-on day-to-day accounting experience. Must have owned the General Ledger close process and have direct experience with financial statement preparation. -
Experience with consolidations and intercompany transactions required.
Experience in Insurance Renewal Process preferred but NOT required.
Other Risk Management activities a 'plus' - Environmental / Legal Claims
