Volt Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a client in the Orange County, CA area. This candidate will be responsible for the development of aircraft AC and DC power distribution subsystems and for the integration of power switching devices and smart electronic power sensors, perform component selection, design and design analysis meet the de-rating factors per requirements.

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for preparing sketches, block diagrams, wiring and system schematics and documentation of the test results.

Requirements

  • Design and develop electronic components and equipment.
  • Perform component selection, schematic capture, design analysis, stress analysis.
  • Perform design verification testing.
  • Develop test plan for manufacturing test procedures.
  • Prepare Bill of Material and Assembly drawings for designs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with power electronics and analog designs.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience Altium schematic capture tools.
  • Experience in performing circuit analysis for worst case stress and failure modes.
  • Experience with power MOSFET circuit design for 115 VAC and 270 VDC power systems.
  • Familiar with Solid State Power Controller Devices, preferred.
