Job Description

Corporate Brokers, a staffing agency in Annapolis MD, is looking for a full-time Human Resources Manager to join our team. The Human Resources Manager maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. The Human Resources Manager maintains positive employee relations and works to ensure worker satisfaction through education of policies and by fostering a positive work environment. The Human Resources Manager should have strong communication and organizational skills in addition to being detail-oriented. This role will support the Director of Operations as needed.   

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day operations of HR team including hiring, training, counseling, disciplining, and monitoring job results
  • Manage Threads and performance evaluation process
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to all employees
  • Help employees and supervisors settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements
  • Prepare, update, and recommend human resource policies and procedures
  • Maintain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Implement and revise company’s compensation program and conduct annual salary surveys
  • Maintain company directory and other organizational charts
  • Conduct exit interviews with internal employees
  • Implement and oversee diversity initiative program(s)
  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualification & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 3+ years of human resources experience preferred
    • Ability to manager and lead a team while also taking direction and completing tasks independently
    • Self-starter who can multi-task and take ownership

    Desired Skills:

    • Proficient in MS Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Exceptional customer service, approachability, and whatever it takes mentality
    • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
