Daytona Beach, Florida, 32114
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hourly: 11.03 - 11.88
The role of a Maintenance Technician is demanding, and requires an all-around understanding of facility upkeep and safety procedures. As a maintenance technician at the Good Samaritan Society, you'll need to have a versatile skill set and a can-do attitude.
What's in it for you: You will work in a faith-based organization with daily devotions and prayer before meetings (if you choose to participate). And you'll be part of a family, offering love and compassion to residents as part of a dedicated and diverse care team. Just ask our employees - it's what they love most about their role at the Society. That, and our opportunities for advancement.
You're a good fit if: You bring a smile to work every day, have a good work ethic, are a team player and have a compassionate nature. You should know your way around a maintenance closet, and the tools and techniques required to perform general facility upkeep.
What you'll do: From fixing faucets to standing up sheetrock, you'll need to be able to perform many different duties required to upkeep our facility. A typical day is tough to define, but can include work on heating and cooling systems, lawn work and landscaping, painting, basic plumbing, construction and all-around upkeep. You'll oversee preventative building maintenance and ensure our facility is clean, up to code, and safe for residents. Bottom line: You're the go-to person when something needs fixed, maintained or remodeled.
You're qualified for this position if: You meet all qualifications outlined below.
Throughout our organization, we aim to fulfill the most basic of human needs: to feel loved, valued and at peace. Are you up to the challenge?
