Take this opportunity to start doing your life's best work.(sm) As an Assess and Triage Care Advocate you will be responsible for case management and utilization review of behavioral health and substance abuse cases. And, when you contribute, you'll open doors for yourself that simply do not exist in any other organization, anywhere. If you are located in Pacific time zone, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:Focus on initial inpatient admission for psychiatric and chemical dependency patientsMake patient assessments and determining appropriate levels of careObtain information from providers on outpatient requests for treatmentDetermine if additional clinical treatment sessions are neededAdminister benefits and review treatment plansCoordinate benefits and transitions between various areas of careIdentify ways to add value to treatment plans and consulting with facility staff or outpatient care providers on those ideas

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, or Licensed Ph.D., or an RN with 2 or more years of experience in behavioral healthLicenses must be active and unrestricted in your state of residence2+ years experience in a related mental health environmentProficient Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to use multiple screens and type and talk simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications:Experience in an inpatient settingDual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuseExperience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patientsPrevious experience in a managed care environmentExperience working with the Medicaid patient populationCareers with Optum. Here's the idea.
