Job Description

Job Summary:

The IT Asset Administrator is responsible for the administrative duties related to procurement, accounting, inventorying, and disposing of computers, mobile devices, software, and other company assets.

Essential Functions:
  • Procures IT assets including but not limited to computer equipment, tablets, cell phones, and software.
  • Minimizes organizational cost by product standardization, price negotiations, and asset tracking.
  • Maintains detailed records and databases to track contracts, expenses, and asset inventory from purchase to disposal. This may include items other than IT assets.
  • Tracks quality through internal experience tracking to determine best value for future procurement.
  • Manages user issues with mobile devices to maximize user uptime.
  • Disposes of obsolete or damaged assets through reputable sales/recycling vendors.
  • Assures company data is secured during use of devices and removed/destroyed prior to disposal.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of computers, mobile devices, and computer software.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good communication skills

Required Education and Experience:
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Preferred: 2 years previous asset management experience
  • Preferred: 2 years previous cell phone/mobile device administration experience

Working Conditions:
  • Indoors
  • Office Environment
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Lifting equipment less than fifty pounds
