Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Our client in Auburn, AL is seeking an experience Accounts Receivable clerk to assist their Lockbox/Finance Department. This position is open due to a current employee going on medical leave. It will be a contract only position and it is not a remote or work-from-home position. The pay rate is set at $15.00/hr and can include Kelly Services Medical, Dental, Vision coverage and access to Kelly’s discount portal for online shopping, restaurants, and discounted gift cards. Hours: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch) Assignment Length- 3 months (target start date is November 25, 2019) Job Description: Post lockbox, wire, and ACH receipts to customer accounts. Reconcile cash receipts to the bank deposit. Research and resolve payment discrepancies. Process daily credit card deposits. Process new customer applications, perform credit check, and establish customer terms and credit limits. Respond to customer inquiries; research and resolve charge backs, returns, and bad checks. Process credits to customer accounts for return of goods and invoicing discrepancies. Process manual billings. Issue customer statements monthly. Monitor aging of customer receivables; contact customers when invoices are near or after terms asking when payment can be expected. Follow up and document the process. Monitor/release customer orders on credit hold. Monitor and adjust customer credit limits to mitigate risk associated with uncollectibility of receivables. Stay current on all company policy and procedures relating to accounts payable. Preform some standard Accounts Payable task when Accounts Payable Coordinator is out of the office. Process monthly Sales Tax Returns. Assist in preparing monthly reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts. Other duties and special projects as required. Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; strong preference for candidates with an Associate's degree (or higher)
  • At least 3-years of A/R experience
  • Data Entry skill set and strong understanding of the English language
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Ability to use good judgment, in order to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred. Must have experience with Microsoft Excel. Syspro experience is a huge plus.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain appropriate attendance standards.
