Position: VB.Net Programmer
Location: Cleveland, OH
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 + Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation
Develop in-house applications to improve efficiency of our engineering departments.
This position requires the candidate to work independently, determine inefficiencies and develop their own plan for applications to improve processes.
The goal is to connect all independent software and application tools into one application that can be used as a single point of data entry.
Frequent progress reports and continuous improvement records have to be provided to the VP of Sales and Engineering.
This position requires expert programming skills combined with engineering background.
Plan, design, code, document, test, debug, implement, and maintain applications.
Implement and utilize source code repository software.
Perform light project management skills. (create Gantt charts, presentations, etc.).
Self-motivated and work without much supervision.
Develop their own tasks and see them through.
Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace.
Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting near misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
Implement engineering process improvements.
Lead gap analysis projects to emerge from current design process to future design process.
Act as a technical liaison between Application Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing.
Propose and assist in continuous improvement projects.
Conduct and assist in technical training as required.
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer science or similar Engineering discipline from a four-year college or University.
4+ years of VB.Net.
Visual Studio is a plus.
Autodesk Inventor is a plus, not required.
Knowledge of SAP is a plus, not required.
Knowledge of CRM is a plus, not required.
Understand machining/manufacturing is a plus.
Understand process flow charts is a plus.
Understand engineering processes is a plus.
Understand CAD software and ability to read engineering drawings is a plus.
