Job Description

ConAm Management is a large multi-family property management company. We are seeking a Dynamic Accounting Manager for our San Diego Office.  This position requires a commitment to quality, accuracy, and professionalism.  The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task, and mentor and direct staff to meet organizational goals. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience
  • Leadership skills; ability to direct others
  • Experience in a multi-entity reporting environment
  • Solid verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Efficient problem solving skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to reassign priorities daily
  • Real estate experience preferred
  • CPA or MBA preferred

Software Experience preferred:

  • Yardi Voyager 7S
  • MRI
  • Excel
  • Word

Education:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Essential Functions: Primary responsibilities include mentoring and training staff accountants as well as reviewing staff accountant prepared journal entries, distribution calculations, cash flow analysis, account reconciliations, financial statements on a cash and accrual basis, assisting with the preparation of budgets and reforecasts, and PBC’s for annual financial audits. Responsible for monitoring timely processing of debt service, insurance. property tax payments and financial reporting to our clients.  Also, responsible for effectively communicating with property owners, site managers, regional managers, etc.
