A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE
Responsible for working with assigned business group(s) in the organization through research, elicitation, and analysis on a larger scale.  The goal of this role is to develop technical requirements for requested enhancements and new technology solutions to support customers, investors, and vendors.
 
Primary Accountabilities
  • Analyze, create, and document business and system processes into functional requirement documentation ensuring the IT development standards are met through the use of templates and process flows using excellent written and oral communications.
    • Validate the captured requirements match the intention of the stakeholders needs.
    • Participate in solution design with Developers.
    • Define the solution scope in terms of the new capabilities of the project, iteration or work effort will deliver.
    • Produce Functional Specification documents outlining the system changes required to deliver the solution.
    • Manage requirements traceability from business requirements to implemented solution.
    • Manage approval process on requirements and functional specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Unit(s) and Development on projects and enhancements including changes that may arise.
    • Conduct stakeholder analysis, build and manage stakeholder relationships.
    • Effectively obtain information from stakeholders to form requirements.
    • Prioritize requirements effectively.
    • Accurately capture the information provided in elicitation sessions in a format stakeholders can understand, review and validate.
    • Manage conflicts and issues to resolution.
    • Identify and communicate risks, issues, constraints, and assumptions that may impact scope and/or solution.
    • Ensure that all requirements support the delivery of business value, fulfill goals and objectives and meet a stakeholder need.
    • Identify and manage changes to requirements.
  • Work with project teams during the design, development, testing and implementation of modifications to systems.
  • Complete data mapping analysis within SQL to be used in a variety of outcomes.
  • Determine opportunities to automate business processes and functions.
  • Perform testing duties as needed, working with end users and project teams during the design, development, testing and implementation of modifications to systems.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
  • Loan servicing or mortgage lending experience a plus.
  • 4 years of varied experience in Information Technology is preferred.
  • 4 years of demonstrated experience in a technical Business Analyst position.
  • Experience managing client expectations, implementing service improvement initiatives and communicating effectively with project teams and management.
  • Experienced with process development, with the ability to learn and understand technical concepts in order to interpret, document and formalize procedures.
  • Experience with data analysis and data mapping.
  • Routinely familiar with producing high-level functional or operational requirements documentation.
  • Experienced with process development, with the ability to learn and understand technical concepts in order to interpret, document and formalize procedures.
  • Experience working with varied development lifecycles and other software development methodologies including waterfall and agile.
  • Experience with QA testing and user acceptance testing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated advanced experience with MSWord, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of  MS SQL Server queries.
  • Certification as a Business Analyst practitioner is desirable but not mandatory.
  • B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, related discipline or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Language Ability
Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.
 
Mathematical Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
