Takeda is undertaking a transformation of clinical development to increase effectiveness and efficiency, thereby bringing critical therapeutics to patients faster. Takeda's Clinical Trial Delivery strategy is a key part of this effort and will require the implementation of significant operating model changes.
As the Head of Study Operationalization you will provide leadership and program expertise for high-priority, complex, and cross-functional work and to ensure progress and identify risks and mitigations for overall success. You will also serve as a primary strategic conduit to the Global Development Office and the Future Fit Implementation Office. You will report into the Head of Innovation and Data, but will be expected to drive and enable this transformation across the Global Development Office functions.
+ Lead the Study Operationalization Workstream within the Future Fit Development team; establish and/or maintain relevant team structure and necessary infrastructure for implementation.
+ Partner with relevant GDO functions and other Future Fit Workstreams to ensure strategic alignment and manage the implementation of the Future Fit Development Model
+ Align and execute Study Operationalization objectives with the Future-Fit program; ensure the strategy and implementation plan are consistent with the overarching Implementation Office Strategy and with system implementation plans managed by the Clinical Data Flow Workstream.
+ Drive the enablement of Clinical Trial Delivery from a business process perspective to support Future Fit needs; partner with both functional leaders/representatives and other Future Fit team members to ensure consistency with business processes, operating model and system implementation plans
+ Coordinate and partner with cross-functional leadership teams to drive alignment and dependencies between different priorities.
+ Leads overall strategic planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future initiatives within the Study Operationalization Workstream.
+ Create and espouse a high-performing, diverse and inclusive team culture where different viewpoints are visibly encouraged and supported
Program Reporting Enablement:
+ Ensure requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and risks for Study Operationalization are assessed and addressed appropriately
+ Plan, coordinate, and track processes and timelines. Report to the Future-Fit Implementation Office and escalate issues/roadblocks as needed across Future-Fit projects and business functions. Define key metrics and milestones and track achievement of financial and strategic goals
+ Identify interdependencies and ensure connections are made across other workstreams and / or platform teams when appropriate
+ Identify and assess risks with significant business impact and ensure milestone achievement across cross-functional teams
+ Support workstream leads by acting as key contact point between leads and other internal or external stakeholders
+ Provide data and reports to management as requested
**_EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES, AND SKILLS:_**
+ Advanced degree, preferably in life sciences and / or pharmaceutical fields.
+ Minimum of 12-15+ years industry work experience in pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, operations, finance, or program management required
+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience
+ PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus
Location: Cambridge, MA or 100% Virtual
Base Salary Range: $230,000-280,000 based on candidate professional experience level. Employee may also be eligible for Short-term and Long-term incentive benefits.
