Events Police Officer (ODE)

Marian University is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Campus Events Police Officer (ODE) position. The Campus Events Police Officer must have general police powers, and has the same common law and statutory powers, privileges and immunities as sheriffs and constables. The Campus Events Police Officer is responsible for enforcing local, state, and federal laws serving to protect life, primarily, and property secondarily. It is required that the Campus Events Police Officer comply with University rules and policies, guarding the peace, tranquility and serenity of the University while attempting to ensure justice and maintain the dignity of the individuals.
Requirements: A high school diploma or general education degree (GED). The officer must be part of an Indiana Police Department with full police powers. The officer must maintain certification, attend a minimum of 24 hours annual in-service training, and the officer must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
