**Sodexo i** s seekinga **Sustainability Manager** to support the Universities Dining segment in **Northern New Jersey** .

**Responsibilities Include:**

+ Manage programs focused on reuse, recycling, and compost, as well as relationships with related stakeholders, vendors.

+ Educate staff on sustainability best practices. Communicate internally on organizational progress in diverse media formats. Engage staff in volunteer Green Team activities - e.g. Earth Day, Bike to Work Day, herb gardens, and honey harvests. Support sustainability training and goal setting for staff.

+ Maintain facility sustainability policies and guidelines. Review organizational policies and benefits to ensure necessary sustainability inclusions.

+ Research sustainability best practices and innovation for application at Sodexo account

+ Collect carbon footprint data and work with consultants to complete the annual footprint for National Geographic.

**Necessary Knowledge and Skills:**

+ Experience supporting change management initiatives and managing diverse groups of stakeholders

+ Experience with systems thinking model

+ Experience contributing to strategic planning and project management

+ Ability to collect and audit data accurately, with close attention to detail _._

+ Proficiency with Mac or PC presentation tools - such as Word, Excel, Keynote or PowerPoint

+ Ability to work independently, keeping track of multiple tasks and deadlines

+ Ability to work with and communicate effectively with a diverse group of professionals

**Position Summary**

Under general direction; the outside-the-unit Sustainability Support Specialist performs duties involving moderate responsibility, complexity and variety in sustainability operations support and deployment of sustainability initiatives across regional areas to implement, measure and continuously improve the Better Tomorrow Plan (BTP) offers. Develops a thorough understand of client and customer base. Works closely with procurement on product availability and specification to aid offer development / adaptation in reinforcing the company's targets for cash sales, new contract gains, and client retention. Evaluates how offer modules can best serve the immediate needs of the client and their customers as well as support the broader Sodexo strategy. Consults with resources across all functions. May participate in offer presentation to clients. Contributes to building the network of sustainability experts and development projects. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications & Requirements**

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years experience in supporting client relations and sustainability efforts
