Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer .Net
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Application design, development and support of new and existing software using .Net or Java programming languages.
Defines product requirements and create high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms
Work with GKN team, customers and suppliers to establish high-level solutions to meet the business requirements.
Ensure consistent and comprehensive documentation exist for all applications
Lead the architecture and technical design for all applications
Oversee all phases of project from conception to completion
Provide risk assessment
Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time
Maintain compliance to all GKN IT policies and procedures including Change Management and Software Control.
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field of study or equivalent work experience with 7-9 years related experience, involving the definition, design, and implementation of business, engineering, manufacturing and office automation systems in support of company objectives.
Minimum 3-5 years in systems development, preferably in a manufacturing environment with familiarity of financial systems required.
The incumbent must have experience in Java and.Net programming in a relational database environment.
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills; be a self-starter, able to work both independently and with a team.
Knowledge in SharePoint, Zoller, Vericut, N/C programming or Microsoft Reporting Services would be desired.
