Position Description:
This is a Software Engineering position with working experience in Agile methodologies. Knowledge in Java and J2EE related technologies and frameworks is required. Team is currently porting our legacy applications to WAS Liberty on PCF. Once Liberty migration is accomplished, this team will form a Product team to align with OEM Credit’s product based vision. This Software Engineer position has the opportunities to work in J2EE related technologies and also use the latest cloud native technologies & latest methods such as pair programming and test driven development (TDD). Development follows eXtreme Agile practices with continuous integration and deployment geared towards a business and user value driven approach. The team frequently delivers user stories in 1 or 2 week sprints targeted on a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The team culture is very collaborative and supportive of each other.

Position duties: 
  • Help migrate legacy application to PCF.
  • Assist and provide technical support to the business customers in testing to ensure application is correctly functioning.
  • Engage in eXtreme Agile practices including but not limited to pair programming, Test Driven Development (TDD), backlog grooming, sprint demos and Continuous Integration
  • Develop with various technologies including Android, IOS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AZURE, microservices, Angular, JAVA
  • Work directly with OEM Credit Business partners (Product Owners) to deliver application changes at market speed
  • Develop and execute unit and integration test scrips
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems
  • Strong understanding of system and application performance tuning
  • Knowledge of Kotlin, Spring Framework, Azure and PCF cloud tools
  • Knowledge of professional software best practices for a full software development lifecycle
  • Experience with critical 24x7 systems
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and Test Driven Development

Skills Required:
  • PCF Cloud, Springboot, Jenkins, Java, J2EE

Skills Preferred:
  • DevOps
  • Test Driven Development
  • Mentoring
  • Agile

Experience Required:
  • 10+ years
  • Paired programming Experience Required:7 years and up.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience

  • Coding Assessment: https://www.hackerrank.com/work/tests/325251/settings/access with a 60% score or 180+ out of a potential 300 points
