(BRANCH) Client Service Associate / Receptionist

Alluvion Staffing is currently seeking a Receptionist for a 3 month contract to hire role in Lafayette, IN. The job details and duties are posted below, if you are interested please apply.

Job Summary:
  • Currently, this branch only consists of 1 Financial Advisor and no support staff.
  • Therefore, it will just be the financial advisor and this contractor working out of this branch.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working independently and with minimal supervisor as the FA will frequently be out of the office on client meetings.
  • The branch is located in downtown Lafayette which is a short walk away from Purdue's main campus in West Lafayette. This position will be part-time with a work schedule of 9a-3p, Monday through Friday.
Job Duties
  • Main responsibilities will include job duties of a Client Service Associate. However, they will also be responsible for managing the front desk area, answering the branch's main line, and general administrative support.
  • Client Service Associate Responsibilities
  • Interacts daily on the phone and in person with prospective and existing clients including handling basic inquiries.
  • Researches client and security information through the back office system.
  • Processes and follows up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accounts.
  • Prepares letters, forms, and spreadsheets to assist with servicing existing clients and prospecting for new clients.
  • Creates and maintains records and files.
  • Ensures required client paperwork is current with firm and industry requirements, rules and regulations.
  • Maintains databases and creates reports using portfolio software programs.
  • Assists Financial Advisors with marketing efforts including seminars, etc.
  • Receives and processes securities.
  • Receives cross-training and assists with other operational functions as required.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Must Haves - Hard Skills
  • At least 2 years' of administrative or client support experience. Ideally someone who has been an Office Manager / Office Assistant or has been in a role where they've worn many hats.
  • Experience within the financial services industry is a big plus
  • Fluent user with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook. Must have basic Excel skills.
  • Strong data entry skills **please have all candidates take a data entry test before submitting their resume in Wand. Candidates must score at least 7500 keystrokes per hour with at least 90% accuracy. Include data entry scores on resume.**

  • Must be comfortable working in a very small office
  • Must be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
