An investment firm in New York City is actively seeking an experienced and hardworking professional to join their staff as their new Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, the Human Resources Business Partner will act as a consultant to business units on HR-related matters and provide general HR support.

- Conducts meetings and consults with business units, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Provides front line service to assigned business units
- Assists in the development of employment terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers
- Provides guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning; assist with recruitment process
- Manages and helps resolve employee relations issues
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Provides performance management guidance to management
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Assists US and international employees with immigration matters, expatriate assignments, and related HR matters
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of Human Resources Business Partner experience, preferably in a financial services company
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- HRIS experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Workday experience
