ENGINEERING MANAGER - MACHINING / SHEBOYGAN, WI - DIRECT HIRE

Kelly Engineering is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager with Machining experience for a position in Sheboygan, WI.
Sheboygan is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan for all of you water enthusiasts and sits at the mouth of the Sheboygan River. Its located halfway between Milwaukee and Green Bay (an hour away in each direction) if you are looking for big city excitement. Fun fact for you about Sheboygan, it's known as the "Bratwurst Capital" of the world!!!
In this position the Engineering Manager is responsible for optimizing the machining capabilities, bringing best practices to the organization and maximizing the lifespan of all machining equipment. The main responsibilities for this position are as follows:
• Drives efforts that improve maximization of machining and other related equipment (conveyors, gantries, washers, pallet systems, virtual condition gages, etc.). Optimizes equipment by reducing cycle time/improving uptime/introducing new automation. Improves agility of equipment (part variation, repurposing of used equipment). You will ensure training is delivered to support excellence in operations and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintains machining capability, dimensional control and part specification. Monitors industry trends and best practices relative to machine technology and maintenance. Identifies, develops and implements new tooling and machining technology. Oversees cutting tool management and innovation in materials. Supports competitive machining vertical integration.
• Directs plant engineering resources and ensures effective plant interface with program management/product development on cell design (safety standards/ergonomic/environmental/5S). Ensures successful product launches with clear handoffs/accountability.
Qualified candidates will have the following education/experience to be considered:
•Associate's degree required - Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
*3 years’ leadership experience in a metal machining environment.
*Minimum of 7+ years in a Manufacturing Engineering role
*Proven success managing and driving improvement in areas such as optimizing equipment from an IE perspective (ie: reduce cycle time / improve uptime / automation), improving agility of equipment, monitoring industry trends for best practices, etc.
*Strong leadership skills
•Strong communication skills
•Ability to prioritize
• Ability to work well with different levels in an organization
