RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, an established and rapidly growing tech start-up is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their NYC office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organization with a stellar reputation in their Pre-IPO stage. This family-oriented environment encourages creativity, and collaborative learning through mentorship. Beautiful new offices located in midtown Manhattan, competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities:
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close process: journal entries, variance analysis, and post close financial reporting
  • Analyze and reconcile revenue and cost of sales
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Prepare and maintain monthly schedules to facilitate the forecasting process
  • Support financial planning including pacing and reporting, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Prepare account reconciliations and allocations monthly
  • Prepare entries for accruals
  • Review and analyze P&L and participate in monthly and quarterly close meetings
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as required by management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA or in progress
  • 3+ years of GAAP accounting at a publicly traded company
  • Prior public accounting experience preferred (but not required)
