The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in a low volume manufacturing process of data acquisition devices. The duties include researching automation techniques, testing new and existing products for efficiency.



  • Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control.
  • Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data. Provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
  • Evaluate product return process, diagnose, repairs, and root cause. Provide management with reports containing the data and statistics.
  • Develop and test effective automated and manual systems. Create procedures.
  • Design and install equipment such as test harnesses, jigs and test fixtures.
  • Organize, manage, and document manufacturing workflows and resources.
  • Resolve issues and delays in production. Produce and document ECOs.
  • Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality.
  • Train staff in new and existing processes.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow ESD, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Upgrade systems and processes with new firmware or technology
  • Develop/optimize the manufacturing flow with scripting skills.


The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Previous experience as a electrical, manufacturing engineer or similar role.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards (ISO and IPC), processes, Electronic PCB soldering, assembly and fabrication methods.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing test equipment and quality assurance techniques
  • Ability to create and maintain Linux scripts.
  • Project management skills.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in relevant software (e.g., CAD, VISIO, MS Office)
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Experience coordinating equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.
  • A commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to occasionally work late shifts.
  • 5-15 years of manufacturing experience in electronic IT devices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or systems engineering preferred. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics will also be considered Post-graduate degree is a plus.
