The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day Human Resource operations.
Answers phones for the HR department.
Handles employment application intake.
Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
Assists with new-employee orientations.
Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
Prepares job postings.
Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
Assists the HR Director with HR projects.
High School Diploma required, university degree or equivalent is preferred, and one year of office/clerical support experience. Previous HR experience. A minimum of one year in the Behavioral Healthcare setting is required.
Knowledge of Human Resource management that will promote and maintain a harmonious relationship with staff and customers. Ability to analyze and interpret sensitive internal and external employment documents. Knowledge of recruitment practices and selection of qualified applicants. Knowledge of the orientation process; providing accurate information to staff on Benefits, HR Policies, Employee Handbook and Service Excellence expectations at Windmoor Healthcare. Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including applicable AHCA, Joint Commission, and state agency requirements ensuring all HR employee files are accurate and in compliance with these agencies. Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Lawson and Microsoft Office products.
