Position Overview

The Learning & Development Specialist is a critical member of the L&D team. The incumbent of this role is responsible for the execution of NPD’s corporate learning and talent programs, as well as implementing, managing and at times planning learning activities for NPD globally.  




Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum administration: schedule meetings and learning events; prepare and distribute training materials; review and summarize program evaluations and proactively share insights; order training supplies; order food and beverages; and respond to general training inquiries.
  • Communicate with vendors and manage vendor engagements, including onsite coordination for “day-of” training events.
  • Leverage Learning Management System to manage the ongoing training curriculum and ad-hoc learning programs.
  • Create training reports to support the business needs.
  • Manage on-site training logistics, including but not limited to: room assignments, training facilities, room set-up, equipment requirements and materials.
  • Prepare course offerings publication and marketing materials.
  • Provide effective client support, including issue resolution and responding to general inquiries.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with Human Resources Business Partners and other Centers of Excellence to ensure proactive collaboration.
  • Engage with our Legal and Procurement teams to finalize vendor agreements, create purchase orders and process invoices, while tracking spend against budget.
  • As needed, handles other responsibilities as assigned.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with administering a Learning Management System(s) and Human Resource Information System(s), specifically Workday.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desire to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment.
  • Interest in learning and talent development related processes.
