Duck Creek Senior Engineer (REMOTE)

GEICO Technology Solutions is looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineer or Master Engineer in Duck Creek Technologies, with a positive outlook to support our enterprise customer service platform. The ideal candidate is an experienced application developer with a strong working knowledge of Duck Creek Technologies such as Duck Creek Author, Manuscripts, TransAct and User Admin and also experience with SQL Server and Azure DevOps. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for the availability, stability and the enhancement of both the Umbrella Sales and Service applications. This candidate must be a team player who has experience working in an Agile engineering team.
Responsibilities:
* Designing and Developing applications using Duck Creek Technologies
* Performing minor and major Duck Creek software upgrades
* Assisting in code reviews and code cleanups
* Developing applications that meet both the code quality and security standards of the enterprise
* Working effectively with business and IT partners to define project requirements.
* Translating business requirements into system requirements.
* Updating system documentation, such as design documents.
* Coordinating projects across different teams.
* Working closely with the DevOps teams to build needed alerting, dashboards and automated system healing services and processes.
Technical Skills required:
* Experience with Duck Creek Development using Duck Creek Author, Manuscripts, TransAct and User Admin
* Experience working with Custom Business Objects to integrate with other applications/systems
* Experience working with XML and Stored Procedure in SQL server
* Experience with Asynchronous Messaging solution like Azure Service Bus
* Azure DevOps/Azure cloud service
* Proficient in using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, building and deploying applications.
Preferred Skills:
* At least 4+ years of experience developing applications using Duck Creek technologies
* Experience working with Web API/Web Services/Microservices
* Experience with no-SQL databases like Cosmos DB
* Experience with Splunk and Application Insights
* A good understanding of Agile Methodology.
* Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences.
* Systems analysis skills and experience producing complex requirements.
* Self-motivation and a strong sense of ownership.
* Able to quickly adjust to changing priorities.
* Ability to work independently, yet function as an integral part of a dynamic team.
* Passionate about being part of a software development team.
* Commitment to see concurrent projects to successful completion.
Other Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
* Microsoft Certifications AZ-900

Annual Salary
$72,000.00 - $185,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
