We are looking for a Tooling Engineer for our Corporate HQ Office located in Auburn Hills, MI.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Designs a variety of tools consistent with standard tool configuration, including cutting and forming tools. May be responsible for the design of a wider variety of tooling consistent with company and customer standards including molding, machining, drilling, assembly, bonding and check fixtures.
  • May identify problems with performance or tool life and recommend solutions or enhancements.
  • Performs research, testing, data gathering, measurements, or engineering analysis in an office, laboratory or manufacturing environment. Engineering assignments of average complexity may be performed independently.
  • Under the direction of a Senior Engineer, performs engineering support on complex projects or technical assignments in conjunction with more experienced engineers. Independently compiles data and analyzes results for project or team review.
  • Demonstrates increasing knowledge and capability as engineering experience increases.
  • Designs, testing and analysis must comply with IATF16949 and ISO procedures.


  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Design, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Science.
  • At least five years of work experience of tooling engineering within automotive manufacturing.
  • Product experience with composite, plastics, injection molding or stampings is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding and have worked a full product launch for a customer program is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
