The newly formed VMware Cross-Cloud Solutions Marketing team is responsible for driving awareness and market leadership for the VMware Cross-Cloud Services portfolio. The teams charter includes the following key areas: Product Marketing, Go-to-Market (GTM), Industry Marketing and Customer Insights. This team sits at the center of corporate marketing and is leading the charge to propel VMware into the third leg of its journey to become the leader of the multi-cloud market, working alongside our customers, corporate go-to-market and planning teams, product marketing, sales and partner teams, as well as the global field marketing organization.

As a Cross-Cloud Marketing Associate Co-Op, your primary focus will be to build and execute marketing programs that support thought leadership and awareness goals. The marketing programs may include omni channel digital campaigns, events, content-marketing initiatives and activations with influencers and communities.
This position will work cross-functionally with product marketing, Web and digital marketing, demand and field marketing, corporate communications, and many other teams.
This is a rare opportunity at a large enterprise company to get hands-on experience with both strategy and program execution.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the course of this internship?
In the first 30 days, you will:
Acquire familiarity with the team charter and OKRs, the VMware Cross-Cloud services portfolio, target audience and messaging (which will include completing specific training modules)
Gain an understanding and working knowledge of the primary program(s) you will be responsible for supporting
Develop a project plan with your mentor outlining at least three primary goals you expect to realize over the course of your internship and tie the project plan to specific tasks you will be responsible for both owning and contributing to aligned to the primary program(s)
Within 45-60 days, you will:
Develop an understanding of persona-based marketing, audience/buyers journeys, and targeting strategies
Develop an understanding of industry benchmarks and KPIs for your primary program(s)
Support day-to-day workflow including facilitating team meetings and communications (preparing agendas, publishing meeting notes and action items, etc.)
Within 60-90 days, you will:
Learn to program manage (workflows and deadlines) across internal teams and agency/vendor teams
Understand and demonstrate competence with VMware editorial style and brand guidelines by managing internal reviews for promotional copy and creative development
Identify and propose a self-directed project, tied to the team charter and goals, which will be worked on throughout the internship
90 days and following, you will:
Leverage tools for campaign tracking and reporting (including Salesforce, SmartSheet, Tableau, Omniture) and learn how to analyze the data
Deepen your knowledge of digital marketing and content marketing best practices while refining your communication, copywriting and editing skills
Deliver a final presentation to the Cross-Cloud Solutions Marketing team on the topic of your self-directed project (month six)

Remote: this role is remote and can be done anywhere in the United States.
For New York City based candidates the hiring range for this position is typically $24.84- $24.84. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
