Location: St. James, MN Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 + bonus D.O.E. Description: Our client, an award-winning Food Manufacturer, is currently seeking a HR/Safety Business Partner for their plant near St. James, Minnesota
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
You will be responsible for the Human Resources and Safety management of the Plant.
You will be responsible for all HR activities for 75 team members and all Safety/Workers Comp for the facility.
Occupational training and development
Company policy administration
Safety policy development and administration
Leading safety meetings
Tracking of certifications and licenses
Workers compensation reporting
OSHA record keeping
The focus of this position is to progress to be the HR Manager of the facility
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
High School Diploma (Bachelor Degree preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience
Minimum of 2 years of Occupational Safety experience a plus
Comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, employee benefits, and state and federal employment laws
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to train, influence and motivate team members
Capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in difficult situations
Knowledge of OSHA standards with regard to manufacturing
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
Food industry experience a plus
Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and HR software such as Kronos Workforce Ready
