Pay Rate: $37,000-$40,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications; excellent benefits package
Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI) drives dramatic improvements in the health of New Yorkers by feeding people who are hungry, healing families broken apart by violence, and bridging the gaps between people and the compassionate health care they deserve. CHASI serves the most vulnerable individuals, families, and communities with critical services and programs. CHASI provides outreach, education, prevention, and direct support services for populations most affected by health disparities – the poor and working poor, low-income people with chronic illnesses, persons with criminal justice involvement, substance users, domestic violence survivors, people of color, and the LGBTQ community.
The Vaccine Equity Partnership Engagement NYCHA COVID-19 Recovery Program (VEPE-NYCHA) will drive equitable pandemic recovery in public housing communities that have experienced longstanding health inequities stemming from historic and contemporary disinvestment and system racism.
The Supply Specialist is essential to the operations of all of our VEPE locations by delivering critical supplies to various locations to the outreach teams. The Specialist will coordinate all activities related to the supplies for all locations, which includes 10 NYCHA buildings throughout Staten Island.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tracks and maintains an inventory of essential supplies for the program.
Transports agency supplies to and from CHASI and VEPE locations and performs drop off or pick up of supplies as needed.
Keeps storage areas organized with supplies for distribution.
Reviews supplies available at each site and replenishes supplies before they run out.
Communicates with Facilities Operations regarding maintenance issues with the agency vehicle.
Provides monthly vehicle maintenance for all vehicles (taking to a car wash, vacuuming or washing the interior).
Assist with light maintenance activities, but not limited to:
breakdown and organization of supply deliveries
Perform all functions in alignment with Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
Other duties as assigned.
High School diploma, high school equivalency, or vocational education in related field.
At least 2 years of demonstrated work experience with housing/building maintenance.
Must have a clean driver’s license with minimum 3 years driving.
Must be able to drive a 15’ truck.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact professionally with diverse groups of people.
