Water/Wastewater Design Engineer
Immediate opening for a Professional Engineer with four or more years of experience as a Project Engineer for the design and construction of water supply/treatment and wastewater treatment facilities in our Municipal Division in Decatur, Illinois. This position will include planning, developing, designing various projects for municipalities and industrial facilities in central and southern Illinois.
The Project Engineer will work closely with experienced Project Managers on a variety of engineering tasks from project planning to final design and construction observation. Responsibilities and tasks may include, but are not limited to: project plans, funding applications, design of treatment systems, pump design, lift station design, shop drawing reviews, piping design, well design, client coordination, and working with the project team to identify solutions to design and funding challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of (4) four years of engineering design experience with municipal water and wastewater engineering projects, have a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, an Illinois licensed Professional Engineer is highly desirable.
Autocad Civil 3D and/or microstation
Strong technical, oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to work in a team environment are required
