We are seeking a candidate who will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining Gainwell Technologies IT asset management environments and processes. This role will collaborate with Gainwells Procurement and Internally facing Deskside Services, Compute Services, Network Services teams along with the externally facing Product Development and Delivery and HR teams. This will be a new department and role within our company so there will be opportunities to design new processes to help us forecast needs and costs, procure licenses and maintain compliance with our HW and SW suppliers. The establishment of this department is key to reducing our financial and operational risks associated with software compliance.
This role will be based in the US.
Responsible for collecting data on deployed HW and SW, helping with the selection and implementation of an asset management system along with requests for new licenses, maintaining records, and helping to make assure that our consumed licenses and subscriptions are within our contracted quantities.
Responsible for working with representatives from our HR department to bring in and use forecasts for growth.
Responsible for maintaining good working relationships with the other teams involved with data collection, procurement, asset management tool maintenance and configuration, license consumers.
Develop the Asset Management Team in order to be able to track resources as well as advise Gainwell team members on new programs and purchases needed to remain in compliance, provide regular audits to help with many of the day to day functions.
Helps to develop an acquisition process that assures proper charge backs, records and minimizes disruptions to the business.
Work with our Procurement team on new purchases and true ups.
Work with various groups to analyze SW and associated contracts and make recommendations during M&A activities.
Maintain data and develop reports that can be used in licensing audits and annual budgeting processes.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another technology related field or 10 years working in this area.
This position requires 7 years of IT industry work experience in the following areas: Asset management, license procurement, deployment, forecasting and compliance activities.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft licensing under EA, CSP and SPLA agreements.
Hands-on experience with IBM zSeries mainframe SW and licensing.
Experience in license consolidations during mergers and/or acquisitions.
Ability to lead and maintain the design and deployment of tracking processes effecting business processes and users at other global sites.
Computer skills and background knowledge of hardware & software and networking equipment.
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.
Experience or familiarity with the Human Services and Professional Services or Life Sciences Industry preferred.
Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
Candidate must be able to occasionally work nonstandard hours.

This may be done remotely with requirements to come into the office on an occasional basis
