Job Description

As a Social Worker/Clinician with The Menta Group, you will provide direct educational and social services to students, as well as work with parents, educators, and other professionals to create supportive academic and social environments for all students.

Direct-Hire, Salaried position with benefits and paid benefit time off.

Supporting Harbourview Academy and Tempe SELF programs

No Nights No Weekends

Responsibilities

• Employ data-based decision-making regarding multidisciplinary collaboration, functional behavior assessments, and behavioral approaches
• Build leadership to effectively help students succeed
• Develop positive behavioral and academic interventions
• Monitor student progress and evaluations, program evaluations, and consult with educational staff, parents, and other professionals
• Some local travel to other Menta locations may be necessary at times

Qualifications

• Only One (1) of the following certifications required: Social Work- LBSW, LMSW, LCSW, Counseling- LAC, LPC, LCPC, Substance Abuse Counseling- LASAC, LISAC, School Counselor Certified through ADE, School Social Worker Certified through ADE, School Psychologist Certified through ADE
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong consultative and data analysis abilities
• Creative thinker who can develop a wide range of interventions meeting the needs of a diverse student population
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication skills

About Harbourview Academy Phoenix

HarbourView Academy is a special education school in Phoenix that not only provides a rigorous education but also a temporary short-term placement called Alternative to Suspension (ATS) for students who would otherwise be suspended from their home schools.

The safe environment and special education curriculum in our Phoenix school reduce the number of out-of-school suspensions and provide support to help students reintegrate into their home schools successfully.

At our school in Phoenix, we cater to the academic and social-emotional needs of high-risk children and adolescents aged 5 through 22. Our no-refusal, no-suspension, no-expulsion policy offers a continuum of services to meet the needs of this challenging student population.
