Senior Identity and Access Management Engineer (IdAM)

Currently, Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is seeking a customer focused Senior Identity and Access Management Engineer (IdAM) to join our team in the Fort Belvoir area to provide support to the Army and to begin an exciting career within DSA. As a team lead, the Senior IdAM Engineer will perform a variety of complex technical tasks. The Senior IdAM Engineer is responsible for the integration and hands-on implementation of new capabilities and managing existing capabilities for the Army’s EAMS-A/AMID identity management platform. This platform serves as the Army's single source for the storage, management and access of Army and DoD identities, supporting over 700 distinct applications. The IdAM Engineer will work closely with other technical leads and Army staff to assess customer requirements and then design, extend and continually improve system capabilities. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise, guidance, and best practice recommendations.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Management and oversight on all IdAM efforts.
  • Maintain the Army’s EAMS-A Authentication Service
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to Army customers regarding improving efficiency and security of IdAM solutions.
  • Provide LDAP subject matter expertise to operate and maintain the LDAP data store
  • Coordinate with external system providers to design, build, and maintain Extract Transform Load (ETL) solutions.
  • Review known issues published by product vendors and identify potential impacts to the IdAM solution.
  • Support upgrade and patching of new application versions when they are released Create application documentation, architecture diagrams, how-to guides, SOPs, and other deliverables for both training and tool maintenance.
  • Prepare technical designs and briefings to Army customers regarding architectural best practices on an as-needed basis.
  • Provide Tier III support for IdAM services including but not limited to implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, operations and management.
  • Provide technical support services to standardize authoritative enterprise user attributes across the Army
Experience/Education: Minimum of 5 years of experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree
 
Description: Executes tasks and projects relevant to subject matter. Reduces issues to practical
recommended options. Explains recommendation to decision-makers in terms that permit
decisions. Performs studies and analyses on subjects within the technical scope of work.
Develops requirements from a project's inception to its conclusion for a particular IT subject matter area (i.e., simple to complex systems). Assists other project members with analysis and
evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization,
development, and/or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems
architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk
management/ electronic analysis; software; lifecycle management; software development
methodologies; and modeling and simulation. Recognized at the industry level in a technical field or specialized engineering or technology area and is proficient in relevant engineering principles and practices.
 
Applies experience, skills, and expert knowledge within an engineering discipline
to complex assignments. Generates unique concepts as evidenced by synthesis of new products or processes. Creates or uses engineering/scientific tools to solve technical problems.
 
Utilizes and develops tools, techniques, processes, and/or facilities such as state-of-the-art simulation environments, laboratories, and test facilities. Provides leadership for engineering activities in a specialized engineering or technology subject area. Serves as a major contributor to technical planning process and for providing technical management and guidance.
 
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical architecture experience integrating multi-tiered applications, databases, LDAP and
directory services, application servers, network infrastructure, and understanding security and
dataflow within these components. Demonstrated experience in systems analysis, design and
programming using CASE and IE tools and methods, (such as Oracle CASE, IEF CASE, -CASE

  • MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE; this will be verified prior to interview. Therefore, only US Citizens can be considered for this position.
