Overview

Performs equipment maintenance duties to ensure quality product is produced, packaged, and prepared for delivery to customers in a safe manner. This position has an opening on the 2nd & 3rd shifts.



Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production lines and associated assigned systems.
  • Using hand and power tools, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and Allen Bradley electronics.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions.
  • Report and take action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Minimum two years related experience in a manufacturing environment, required.
  • Experience troubleshooting/repairing PLC (Allen Bradley), required
  • Welding experience is preferred, yet not required
  • Ammonia refrigeration experience is preferred, yet not required
  • Must have own hand tools.
