ACCOUNTABILITIES Develops and documents test plans and test cases for newly developed or current hardware and solutions products Develops test tools and automation for in use testing Directs a test team during test execution, and reports results to development engineers and leadership Creates test plans that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on inputs from the Development and Marketing Provides the Engineering Manager with a High Level Test Strategy and comprehensive test plan for new hardware and solutions products Oversees the execution and reports the results of product validation on new hardware and solutions products Interfaces with external validation partners to develop comprehensive test plans and tests coverage across multiple test organizations Manages and reports on test deliverables and test execution from validation partners RESPONSIBILITIES Creates test plans and test cases based on inputs from the Business Contract product specifications Works with designers and technologists to determine test requirements and writes test cases, test plans and develops test tools for test projects Develops risk management plans based on all information available to determine technical and logistical risk to completing test activities as planned Manages daily execution of test plan including guidance of technicians internally and/or third- party test facility Reports test execution progress and issues to the engineering team, and manages the issues from creation to closure Works with Development to resolve product issues discovered during test Executes test automation scripts, Identifies opportunities for increased use of test automation
Test Engineer/User Tester
Translates data into usable design solutions and leverages results to spark focused design efforts. Integrates Human Factors Engineering principles to the design & development process, accounting for perceptual, physical, and cognitive abilities in the usage of products & services. Produces specifications, standards, user requirements, as applied to Product Design and Development. Represents the needs &preferences of the end user throughout the design and development process. Has broad accountability of the user experience, from initial set-up/ install (out of box experience) through the product lifecycle. Defines & executes the necessary behavioral studies to guide the design process (e.g., yielding both qualitative and quantitative data). Performs a variety of data analysis techniques to surface insights that are actionable and can be applied to the design process. Works with cross-functional development teams to design products (Engineering, Marketing, Quality, etc.). Delivers the necessary artifacts to capture the intended user experience to implementation/engineering entities (e.g., specifications, guidelines, prototypes, UI designs, etc.). Presents test results to development teams and executive leadership to guide and drive the business in accordance to corporate strategies.

Background of current employees have come from a technical sales role as they understand what customers want and like when it comes to the products, as well as, have the technical know how to setting up PC and looking for errors
