Job Description
This IT Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the restoration of vital systems and data after a natural or human-made disaster. This position has direct reports.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Interacts effectively with cross functional business partners, third parties and managed services on continuous DR/Business Continuity improvement efforts
* Ensures recovery efforts meet the needs of the business stakeholders including audit and compliance
* Identifies gaps, provides remediation options, leads resolution efforts end to end
Essential Functions:
This role is subject to Export Control Restrictions (ITAR) and all applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee.
* Leads, coordinates, and monitors global DR drills across enterprise business critical platforms, systems, and applications
* Monitors effectiveness and efficiency of processes, reports on performance targets and service level data that provides measures of success
* Develops and maintains four-year DR roadmap for sunsetting, introducing and implementing innovative technologies.
* Identifies and recommends enterprise recovery opportunities to improve RTO and RPO
* Analyzes, designs, and implements modifications to systems that improves system performance, resiliency and recoverability
* Assists with the development of yearly budgets to support the workload requests by business partners
* Advertises and promotes the availability and benefit of DR enterprise strategies, plans and schedules adoption of these enterprise capabilities
* Leads end to end efforts to create and maintain Data Center Restoration procedures and processes
* Develops training materials to educate enterprise end users
* Detailed knowledge of open systems, storage, backup, application development cycle, and understanding of application dependency mapping
* Effectively leads and manages third parties, holds them accountable for deliverables
* Experience with VMware, Azure, Commvault, Cloud Data Management and Protection tools is a plus
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Over 10 years of IT experience
* Minimum five - eight years' experience with Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery efforts
* Effective at managing multiple projects, efforts, and priorities concurrently
* Professionalism: Excellence, timeliness, completeness of work
* Managerial Skills: Coaching, customer service, team building, proactive
* Four-year IT degree or related area
