This is a Project Engineering role which will be dedicated to supporting a new manufacturing program start-up within the Special Projects Portfolio. The role will focus on successfully transitioning the program from initial design phase through manufacturing
Review product design for compliance with engineering ethics, manufacturing requirements, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
Work closely with manufacturing engineers to Orchestrate and implement the manufacturing phase of the program.
Specific tasking includes activities related to vendor coordination, tooling, manufacturing schedule development, resolving engineering design and test problems as well as assisting with the development and institution of excellent manufacturing shop practices.

Experience understanding & navigating Project Schedules.
Program/Project Manufacturing experience
Experience with aerospace assembly practices
Experience with system checkout & troubleshootingDesired Skills:
Manufacturing plan and start-up knowledge.
EVMS execution knowledge.
2 - 4 years Program/Project Manufacturing experience.
White, Green, or Black Belt Lean Training and Certification.
Aerospace manufacturing experience including machining of metallic and non-metallic structures.
Lay-up of non-metallic materials.
Casting of various refractory alloys.
Ability to interpret electrical and systems diagrams.
Problem Solving Skills
Familiar with GD&T Practices
Manufacturing Plan development Experience.
Knowledge of materials and their respective mechanical properties.
Design for Manufacturing / Design for Assembly experience.
Robust MS Office skill set.
