Job Description:JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a rotational shift position in support of the ODNI Response Operation Center. The watch officers are responsible for the following primary tasks:
Drafting daily and event driven situational awareness reports. Delivery of situational awareness and intelligence products that demonstrate IC collaboration and information sharing. Facility and IT capability and communications readiness to include test, training, and exercises. Alert notification. Maintenance of program records. Participation in procedural documentation reviews and corrective actions. Participate in after-action reviews and corrective actions to address shortfalls identified during events or exercises.
Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of applicable experience or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of the degree. Must have knowledge of communications security and use of multiple communications systems (e.g., IC databases, notifications systems, secure fax), experience with 24/7 operations center functions, and proficiency in D-16 continuity communications platforms. May substitute five year equivalent operations center experience and/or relevant experience at all levels/sectors of government for bachelor's degree and above requirements.
Candidates must be able to work in a high stress environment, recognize situational awareness indicators and evaluate potential impact on mission operations, develop clear and concise written products that require minimal revision; facilitate emergency communications, monitor facility infrastructure to ensure readiness for emergency conditions, and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
