Job Description

Purpose:
The Director of International Operations will be a critical part of the organization's Field Operations team. They will report to the Regional General Manager and provide in-region expertise and guidance to franchisee’s operating in the region on all aspects of restaurant operations supporting sales, growth, EBITDA objectives while ensuring franchisee’s meet their obligations including but not limited to marketing, financial, operational and trademark integrity. Directors will also lead, coach and guide Regional Profitability Coaches.
Responsibilities:
•Support the Regional General Manager in: •Delivering country level KPIs, including operational metrics, growth, sales and EBITDA•Driving continuous improvement in restaurant level performance as measured by the BSC (based on General Manager BSC requirements) •Coaching RPCs to develop the capabilities to drive overall franchisee performance, profitability and satisfaction  •Provide new markets opening assistance, training and development•Assist franchisee with restaurant development, planning and execution •Supports market in achieving new restaurant opening targets and ensures successful restaurant openings•Ensure franchisee’s implement planned marketing, development and operating improvement programs•Assist in development of country specific marketing plans to improve sales and transaction performance vs. prior year, insuring adequate financial support of marketing activities by franchisees.  •Identify, analyze and determine appropriate action for specific cultural, financial and or operational requirements (i.e. brand adjustments to improve in-market experience / results)•Continuously evaluate, develop, and coach Regional Profitability Coaches and enhance problem-solving capabilities so they can be viewed as trusted resources and partners to the franchisees•In partnership with the senior leadership team, and the franchisee community, lead transformational improvements to operations that will create a superior customer experience•Conduct Franchise Business Reviews to assist franchisees in identifying business opportunities to drive, growth, sales and profitability


Metrics•Achieving Balanced Scorecard Card objectives (KPIs, growth, sales, EBITDA etc.)•Achieving targeted franchise development plans within the region•Developing capabilities of RPCs and their skill sets•Improving franchisee unit economics•Operations assessment scores at or above CKE standards •Franchisees in compliance with development and license agreements 
Skills/Knowledge•Operating experience in multi-unit consumer facing businesses and franchise operations•Understanding of general business finance, franchisee P&L and good with analysis•Strong analytical, diagnostic, and root cause identification skills.•Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills•Creative problem solver and multi-tasker•Ability to provide coaching / mentorship
