Serves as the primary Kelley School professional to develop and design overall recruitment strategy for student applicants in defined market(s), as well as executing high-quality applicant interactions with the Kelley Direct Program. Each market or target population is unique, and will require customized strategies to maximize the recruiting outcomes.
Implements and evaluates programs and processes to attract students to Kelley Direct degree programs while working with the Director of Admissions to achieve the overall goal of a quality program. Assess all factors driving a decision for a student to consider Kelley Direct Graduate Programs. Work with the Admissions Committee and review and interview candidates, while also providing formal/informal information sessions for candidates by telephone. Work across campus entities to assist the student and ensure their success in the program. This position will require travel to venues to implement the various programs. In concert with Kelley Direct Leadership, plan and administer a budget for student recruiting.
The incumbent will also assist in the development and implementation of marketing and recruitment strategies, including highly personalized communications with student prospects throughout the year. Manages and leads online Virtual Open Houses, Special Topic Sessions, and other programs for applicants and newly admitted students. The incumbent promotes and markets Kelley Direct at recruiting events and is expected to constantly innovate to make sure our admissions/recruiting efforts remain at the forefront of those at our peer graduate programs. This position is critical to the success of the graduate programs, and will collaborate closely with Kelley’s Office of Marketing and Communication.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and three years of admissions or student services experience.
Demonstrated experience managing complex business processes and building consensus; highly developed communication and presentation skills; knowledge of admission recruitment models and student engagement tools along with the ability to effectively use data-driven models for evaluation and planning and financial effectiveness. Demonstrated ability to evaluate image, prestige, efficiency, and appeal of electronic and operational processes. Understanding of student development and engagement theories, strong project management and assessment skills, and expertise in strategy development and implementation. Ability to maintain a comprehensive, current knowledge of best practices in operations with other universities and to maintain professional affiliations. Knowledge of accounting and/or information systems career fields and degree programs. Knowledge of MS Office Suite and familiarity with student information systems.
Master’s degree in educational leadership, higher education, communication, or business administration. Knowledge of Salesforce or another customer relationship management (CRM) software package workflow, functionality, and report generation.
