In this vital role, the ideal person will be asked to review files to confirm the presence of all documents, identify defects within files, help resolve defects, and help build the department so that we can confirm each loan is ready for GNMA certification, able to be serviced, foreclosed on, and assigned to HUD.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Review assigned files to verify all necessary documents are accounted for to verify good legal standing (HUD Assignment, Foreclosure, and GNMA Final Certification)
  • Analyze title reports with a keen eye towards insured amount, mortgage amount, previous liens, and correct chain of title
  • Work with Title Insurers to obtain endorsements to clear outstanding title exceptions
  • Help build a platform to validate all loan data from new originations, TPO acquisitions, and existing inventory of volume
  • Provide support to the manager for flow or bulk transactions
  • Work closely with the internal diligence teams to identify/document loan-level conditions/exceptions and assist with determining resolutions/potential cures
  • Review, report, and track issues, bid stips, and condition clearings until resolution. Issue interim progressive and final reports identifying risks/escalated issues, and resolutions
  • Create Assignment of Mortgages for Execution
  • Actively participate in group projects
Desired skills and experience include:
  • 6+ months in the mortgage industry
  • Ability to read and understand title documents
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of excel spreadsheets with the ability to produce ad hoc performance and analytics reports
