STARTING RATE WITHOUT EXPERIENCE: $38.13#+ $4.00#SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL IF APPLICABLE # JOB SUMMARY 5 North: Hospitalists General Medicine/Observation Unit is very fast paced environment seeing a wide range of patients such as chest pain with possible interventional needs, outpatient surgical procedures requiring minimal post-operative monitoring, respiratory illnesses with low oxygen demand needs to general medicine patients.# The medical management of our Observation Patients is that all tests and procedures are completed within 24 hours which is what creates such a fast-paced environment. #The most enjoyable part of the job of caring for Observation Patients is that most patients are ambulatory and independent or with minimum assistance. If you are someone that likes something different every single day, this would the BEST place for you! The associate nurse manager in collaboration with the nurse manager leads front line nursing staff in the delivery of patient care. The associate nurse manager coaches and guides nursing staff in the implementation of action plans to achieve organizational goals of quality, efficiency, and excellence in practice. Adoption of innovative nursing practices based on evidence Effective two-way communication and problem solving at the unit and organizational level Collaborates with the nurse manager to complete the recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of nursing staff Ensure nursing staff compliance with the following; Professional development Adherence to nursing standards of practice Regulatory standards ANA Code of Ethics Peer reviews Organizational and unit policies Mandatory education Infection control practice Scheduling processes and procedures I CARE standards of behavior Collaborates with the nurse manager in budget development, utilization, evaluation, and adjustment Maintenance of a healthy work environment utilizing the principles of #just culture# which neither holds the nurse accountable for system failures nor tolerates reckless behavior Provides input into the evaluation and evaluates clinical nurses as assigned Mentors charge nurses, and clinical nurses Implement changes in nursing practice and/or patient care through the shared governance Patient and employee rounding in collaboration with the nurse manager In the absence of the nurse manager, the associate nurse manager assumes the nurse manager responsibilities This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Corporate Services, ICARE standards, adherence to the Code of Conduct, organization policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Administration and Code of Ethics for Nurses. Please ask to speak with the recruiter if you have questions regarding the vaccination. # JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: Graduate of an RN School of Nursing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing Previous leadership related experience PREFERRED: None License/Certifications/Special Requirements: Possesses current state RN license. Maintain current BLS National Nursing Leadership Certification (when eligible).
