Property & Casualty Risk Engineer (Industrial Hygiene)
This is a remote role that will reside in the Phoenix, AZ area.
Chubb Risk Engineering is a single avenue to our more than 550 property, equipment breakdown, and casualty engineering, health, safety and environmental consultants located wherever our clients do business – all focused on helping our clients develop and deploy solutions that advance their risk management, compliance and sustainability objectives, while positively impacting their financial results.
Chubb Risk Engineering has an opening for an Industrial Hygiene (IH) professional. You will provide comprehensive IH support to our clients’ sites primarily throughout the United States. The primary territory for this IH role is the Pacific Region, with a focus in the states of Arizona & California. Ideally the candidate will be located in Phoenix, AZ. An estimated 75% travel is expected within the Pacific Region and could extend to projects/inspections throughout the US and Canada, as applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Provide fundamental industrial hygiene support to resolve issues of limited complexity under the general direction of principal-level industrial hygiene professionals
- Conduct field industrial hygiene assessments at client facilities
- Write technical reports summarizing the data and findings of your field assessments and submit for quality review within 30 days of the end of the assessment
- Maintain high ethical standards commensurate with our profession. Maintain absolute client confidentiality and respect all privacy issues
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or related field, or two to three years of industrial hygiene field experience
- Fundamental knowledge of OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits and ACGIH Threshold Limit Values
- Previous consulting experience preferred
- Ability to evaluate, interpret, and recommend actions/solutions for problems of limited complexity. You will be supported by a knowledgeable team of professional experts
- Verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and present and explain technical information to all levels of personnel and management
- Effective organizational skills necessary to manage multiple tasks in demanding, often new, environments within defined timelines
- Ability to provide a high-level of customer service and good follow-through
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with a broad cross-section of people, including effective interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues with tact, discretion, and mature judgment
- Proficiency in English is required. Other languages are valuable
