Kelly Services is currently recruiting for Bookkeepers!  We have ongoing needs for our customers in large and small companies for your expertise! Positions are either temporary or temp to hire and are throughout New Castle County! Work involves reconciling general ledger accounts; reviewing and processing payables and receivables; prepare and record journal entries; reconciliation of bank accounts, and preparing invoices.  Responsibilities include:

  • Process receivables and prepare daily deposit slips.
  • Balance various bank accounts and record appropriate reconciling items.
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Prepare, mail and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Deal directly with vendors and staff regarding invoices and vouchers.
  • Perform research and respond to inquiries.
  • Review and process staff vouchers for payment, and compute amounts for taxation purposes where applicable.
  • Prepare required reports
  • Handle full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Process company payroll
  • Handle collection calls for delinquent customers (mostly business customers)
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist with analyzing and documenting financial variances

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Either a high school diploma, graduation from a vocational high school with Accounting or Bookkeeping certificate, or an Associate Degree in Accounting is desired. Strong MS Office skills, strong math skills, are required.  At least six months experience in a Bookkeeper or a similar role is also required.
