We are seeking a Chief Information Security Officer who is passionate, and has exceptional understanding of security and IT infrastructure and a myriad of potential threats to the organizations system. This role is responsible for protecting the organizations proprietary data, intellectual property, and overall security.

**Responsibilities**

* Serves as the chief process owner of all assurance activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of customer, business partner, employee and business information in compliance with the organization's information security policies.

* Responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected.

* Implement security and auditing protocols, procedures and recovery processes while managing how tech systems impact business operations and be able to efficiently manage security incidents.

* Develop, implement and monitor a strategic and comprehensive enterprise information security roadmap and IT risk management program

* Address and implement security risks associated with federal, state and local government requirements related to a financial banking institution and develop and scale security protocols meeting government and compliance regulations on security management.

* Collaborate and communicate effectively with Chief Compliance Officer and other members of the board and executive team, IT teams and develop and design sophisticated security policies and information protection practices across all level of compliance requirements related to **AML** (Anti-Money Laundering), **BSA** (Bank Secrecy Act) and fraud incidents.

* Ensure strict security and risk compliance with all banking and federal regulations, laws and guidelines, whether internal or external, to prevent, detect and address any and all deviations, illegalities and nonconformities in the company's security and operations.

* Facilitate auditing risk assessment and risk management processes

* Prepare budgets and financial forecasts for security operations and maintenance.

* Allocate financial resources, coordinate investigative and data recovery efforts, carry out risk assessments and audits, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws.

* Collaborate with executive team and develop security policies and information protection practices.

* Introduce new technologies, oversee education programs, and provide leadership and guidance to personnel.

**Qualifications**

* Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related engineering discipline

* At least 15+ years in-depth experience in information and date security with at least 7 years managing and scaling a team of security professionals

* Extensive knowledge information technology practices and security needs.

* Possess relevant professional security management certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, Ethical Hacker, etc

* Expert Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, SANS20 and NIST; expertise in guidelines meeting SOC, SOX, GDPR

* Expertise in establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected.

* Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams

* Experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management including managed services.

* Specific experience in Agile (scaled) software development or other best in class development practices.

* Experience with Cloud computing/Elastic computing across virtualized environments.

* Experience managing a team of computer analysts, information security specialists to identify, neutralize, and eliminate security threats

* Excellent clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, possessing strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

* Previous experience rapidly scaling information and data security at a successful Fintech start-up is a plus
