Family Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Health

Join our respected healthcare institution as a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Occupational Health at our Albany, NY health clinical center. Salary: $92,000 - $147,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to plan and implement care interventions tailored to individual health needs.
  • Collaborate intimately with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Prescribe treatments and oversee the health progress of patients primarily dealing with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.
  • Coordinate and run clinic operations, ensuring seamless day-to-day functions and supervising one front desk staff member.
  • Maintain meticulous records using the EMR system Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in patient documentation.
  • Demonstrate leadership and professionalism, embodying the clinic’s mission and values in all work aspects.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • New York State licensed and registered Nurse Practitioner.
  • A Master's Degree in Nursing with current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • NPI number and Medicare Enrollment or eligibility to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective leadership and teamwork.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to all institutional policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Occupational Medicine, Musculoskeletal, or Orthopedic care.
  • National Certification through AANP or ANCC.

Skills:

  • Proficient in using electronic medical records with specific experience in Epic.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage both acute and routine clinical care.
  • Excellent patient assessment and follow-up skills in a clinical setting.
  • Leadership skills with experience supervising staff and running a clinic environment.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision to make clinical decisions.
