Manager, HVAC Field Support

Belimo is a global leader in the development, production and marketing of actuator solutions for controlling heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.  Actuators, control valves and sensors make up the company's core business.

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Field Support is responsible for external customer support, post installation, while maintaining interaction and communications with various, internal Belimo departments.  The Field Support Manager supplies second level support, CRM (customer relationship management) input, and leadership/direction to the team.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Manager, Field Support is part of the Quality organization and reports to the Vice President, Quality and Customer Support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Take ownership for customer issues and ensures they are resolved in a timely manner.

Provides functional and technical leadership for external customer applications.

Analyze, propose solutions, and provide feedback on issues encountered by external customers. 

Interact will all of the outside sales team to identify quality opportunities and communicate any sales opportunities.

Takes active role in the negotiation process for both product replacement and potential labor claims.

Support any insurance claim testing activities.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Engineering/technical degree.
  • 5+ years of equivalent industry experience.
  • Must have a high degree of mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • The ability to operate hand tools, metering devices, climb on ladders, and read schematics is required.
  • Working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot product failures and perform root cause analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • 50% or greater travel is expected for this position.
