Job Description
LCG, Inc. is looking for a Front-End Drupal Developer to join our team. The candidate will administer and support custom Drupal websites and design, create, and modify, and maintain the front end for .NET and Java Web applications. The individual will need to identify and create graphic components for websites/applications and incorporate existing and emergent technologies to achieve our business and user requirements. The Developer will support Drupal migration, and redesign projects, and assist with the O&M (operations & maintenance) of Drupal web sites. The developer will be involved in testing, validation, & launch support activities
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a related discipline, and at least two years working experience in developing and maintaining website content, graphics, and usability. The individual will be responsible for making sure that web pages and web documents are Section 508 compliant and optimized with accessibility in mind from start to finish.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Analyze, implement, and support custom Drupal websites. Create, update and maintain custom Drupal Surveys and Websites.
• Lead Drupal migration from Drupal 7 to 9.
• Create UI/UX design concepts, mockups, and theme templates in different languages for web applications (HTML/HTML5, JavaScript/JQuery, Bootstrap, JAVA/JSP, and ASP.Net).
• Perform testing on web pages and documents for Section 508/accessibility compliance and cross-browser testing.
• Create web pages and web documents that are Section 508 compliant and optimized with accessibility in mind from start to finish (HTML, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF).
• Support Drupal migration, and redesign projects, and assist with the O&M (operations & maintenance) of Drupal web sites
• Propose, design, maintain and enforce the consistent and responsive look-and- feel of site design, standards, and layout across multiple projects.
• Follow best practices for ensuring code is clean, organized, understandable hierarchy, logical reading order, and has formatting and markup for assistive technologies.
• Collaborate with team members in discussions and critiques on multiple web applications at different stages of development lifecycle
• Collaborate with development teams to gather requirements, design, create, update, and maintain internal and external web applications
• Support other web-related projects as they arise.
• Willing to work with existing and newer technologies and standards and recommend new technologies and trends for staying update to date.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience administering and supporting Content Management Systems (ex. Drupal, SharePoint, etc.)
• Experience creating, updating, and maintaining custom Drupal Surveys and Websites.
• Basic HTML and CSS knowledge
• Experience supporting Drupal (or similar CMS) migration, and redesign projects
• At least two years of experience in developing and maintaining website content, graphics and usability.
• 1-3 years of design/UI/UX experience.
• Perform testing on web pages and documents for Section 508/accessibility compliance and cross-browser testing.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ability to be innovative with strong interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and organized in development and documentation
• Ability to thrive in a team-based environment
• Must have experience working on fixing security vulnerabilities like Cross-browser Testing and Cross-Platform Testing
